HR Information Session - September 2026
The HR Information Session, organised by Dundalk Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services (CBPES) , took place on 16 September at the Carrickdale Hotel. The event attracted over 95 attendees, including employers, employees, and cross-border workers seeking guidance on employment
The event was opened by Hanna McDonnell, President of Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, who welcomed attendees and expressed appreciation to CBPES for their continued support and collaboration. Hanna also highlighted upcoming Chamber events and encouraged continued engagement from the local business community.
Karolina Kavaliauskiene, CBPES Advisor, reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to supporting cross-border workers and employers. She emphasised the importance of the partnership with Dundalk Chamber of Commerce in providing valuable information and assistance to those navigating cross-border employment issues.
The main presentation was delivered by Martin Casey of Cross Border Solutions, who provided an informative overview of key HR and cross-border employment topics such as, taxation, pensions, and flexible working arrangements.
Martin shared practical examples and expert insights, helping attendees better understand the implications of cross-border employment and taxation arrangements.
The seminar concluded with a lively and engaging Q&A session. Attendees actively participated, raising questions on pensions, taxation, remote working, and employer obligations. Martin provided detailed and insightful responses, ensuring participants left with greater clarity and confidence regarding their individual circumstances.
The event was well attended and positively received, demonstrating the strong interest in cross-border employment and HR-related issues within the region.
