Frontier Workers in Ireland and Northern Ireland On 31st December 2020 the Brexit transition period came to an end which will affect some frontier workers. The UK has formally left the EU and new regualtions have been agreed. For cross border workers or jobseekers who are Irish or British, the Common Travel Area arrangements will ensure continuation of free movement.
