PES Seminars - September and October 2025

The Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services Team held their PES Seminars in September and October 2025, covering the North East, Central and North West Border Regions Public Employment Services. These seminars brought the staff from the Employment Supports and Front Counter staff from both the Department of Social Protection and Department for Communities and covered the border counties of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

Staff had the opportunity to discuss topics relating to cross border employment such as labour market mobility, taxation, & social security issues with help from Martin Casey, Cross Border Solutions.  The format of the events changed from previous years as attendees were seated with staff from both jurisdictions in a similar role rather than their current colleagues.  This immediately changed the atmosphere in the room as staff engaged easily after a couple of icebreakers which allowed for more positive interaction.  These events were facilitated by Rachel Dohery from Inspired Business Consultancy.
